Domestic Workers United!:

A few weeks ago, AVODAH participated in a rally and march with Domestic Workers United, which is facilitated by the spouse of one of my co-workers. DWU is currently pushing a bill called the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights, which would ensure greater employment protections for domestic workers (nannies, servants, etc) in New York City, who are often unjustly exploited.
I brouht my camera and took a lot of pictures. It was good to be at the event and also to have something interesting to take photos of!
Of course, as a conservatively dressed white man, I was asked by one of the organizers if I was with the news media… I hope in the future it will not be as rare to see people who look like me at events like this one.
